Project Archimedes- I

The First Project that I want to do a create a case study on is Ben Shaffer's Project Archimedes.

His course was released a few months ago and I immediately bought it. What it claims to provide is an easy to follow step by step guide on building or buying and flipping websites for profit.

What I am going to do here is to follow the blueprint that he provides and see if I will be able to make any money. I will build a website from scratch, drive traffic and see what will happen.

As I mentioned before English is my second language so if I can build a website and start making money with it than everyone should be able to do it. At the end I will come to a conclusion whether this course is worth buying or not.

Keep in mind that all links to Ben Shaffer's Archimedes Projects are affiliate links and I will be paid a commission if you decide to buy using them.

Also I will be glad to read your comments and suggestions so let me know what you think. What;s more- you can suggest other courses that have beem sold and you want to see case studies on.

Enough said. Let's get started.

There are many types of websites that one can build - review sites, membership sites, blogs and so on. We have to find out what we are good at- if we enjoy writing than blog will be teh perfect solution. On the other hand if we want to sell our website or blog than we need to find out what's in demand.

According to Ben SitePoint's Market Place is the best place for that purpose. There you will see numerous different sites for sale. What's best about that is you can see the topic, the type of website, the revenue model, the money the website in particular makes per month and also the way the owner drives traffic to it. How cool is that. You don't have to guess anymore?

Let's say that I don't feel passionate about any of the topics there and I want to do my own thing. The places to go to get an idea of what people are interested in according to Ben are Google Groups, Yahoo Groups, Yahoo Directory and Amazon, especially their bestseller book list. The reason is simple- if we want to create a information website chances are that there will be visitors to it because there are people buying this types of books on this topic anyway. Make sense, right?

The place to go that Ben highly recommends is MySpace Groups. You can click on any of the categories there and dig down until you find something that you are passionate about or think will make you money. So that's what I am going to do now- choose a topic to build a website on.

How Was This Blog Born- Who Needs Another Make Money Online Blog?

This blog was born out of my own frustration. Everyday I receive at least 2-3 offers for the latest make money online offers.

I have bought a few. Some of them were full crap. Some of them were decent. What I have always been missing is reviews of these products by people who have used them.

I know, there are plenty of reviews out there by "gurus", but I might say that they are usually based on the sales materials provided by the people releasing the product, not on actually using the products.

Every time I see a new product in the make money online niche the question that always pops up in my mind is- Is it worth it?

That is the question I want to answer with this blog.I will be reviewing products that I have bought. I will be doing case studies and presenting you with the results. Based on them you will be able to decide for yourself whether it is worth it to spend your hard earned money on them or not.

And just a reminder. English is my second language, so it makes the whole make money online thing more challenging. It means that some of this products can make money for a non-English speaker they should be able to do wonders for the folks whose mothers language is English.
